Uber team up with Spotify to save you from taxi ride music from hell!
We’ve all been in that taxi ride from HELL in the morning after the night before, having listen to the horrendous music the mini cab driver is playing: Vocoder R&B, EDM, Bad pop music, regional folk music or even a preacher man shouting at the top of his voice.. Its always bad its always way too loud and a bit “AM frequency” crackly.. Come on mate – we’re already breathing through our mouths back here as the smell of wet dog fur coming off your seats is nearly tipping us over the edge of Vom-Ville – couple that with fact that we’ve been out all night – we know we spent too much money, did some stuff we shouldn’t have – the post-session horrors are creeping in and we’re trying to hold onto the final shreds of our sanity… Your music is not helping but we are too weak and incapable of conversation (or too British?!) to ask you to turn IT OFF! *ker-sigh*
This horrendously disturbing scenario can now be a thing of the past as Uber have teamed up with streaming giant Spotify. Now you can choose what music YOU want to listen to in your Uber taxi via your Spotify account on your phone!! Imagine the joy! A nice bit of Tom Middleton’s “Sound of the Cosmos” for the long journey home. Or something nice and lively for a taxi ride when you are off out.. Oh the possibilities are endless!
Thank Uber – this actually might just change our lives.
